Doors to withstand challenging microclimates

Ambient conditions can put considerable stress on interior, and front or exterior doors. For example, doors made from wood can warp or bend when hygrothermal conditions on one side differ from the other. Therefore, various standards and classifications address the ability to withstand these imbalances, and doors are divided into three climate classes.

Expertly designed and built doors can overcome these hurdles: neuform doors comprise carefully selected materials and specially developed manufacturing methods. They are of exceptional quality, with the ability to keep “in shape” despite differences in temperature and humidity. Particularly in recently constructed buildings, residual humidity can linger, temporarily changing ambient conditions, and leading to extreme deformation. Normal conditions are usually only achieved after two cold periods where indoor heating was in use. Our experts have developed innovative and reliable solutions to these challenges.

Doors experience hygrothermal stress when the door leaf is exposed to divergent conditions on the two sides, or to an exceptionally dry or humid climate on both sides. This occurs, for example, with entrance doors to apartments or houses.
