Antimicrobial and antiviral door elements

Especially in healthcare settings, hygiene is an absolute must. However, bacteria, viruses and other pathogens are found virtually everywhere, and they are extremely resilient.

This is where neuform antimicrobial door elements come into play, reducing microbe numbers and helping to minimise health hazards. We collaborate with our partners to create solutions that significantly reduce the risk of infection – especially in public areas, but that also considerably reduce microbial loads at home.

At neuform, we pay very close attention to materials: HPL laminates are particularly resistant to most chemicals, and contain antibacterial substances. Surfaces can also be optionally given an antimicrobial finish, including an antiviral finish effective against enveloped viruses. Steel frames and door handles with an antimicrobial powder coating provide a further safeguard against the spread of pathogens. All these elements play a role in reducing microbial loads and protecting health.

For especially challenging areas, the use of corrosion-resistant stainless-steel frames is recommended. These are especially resilient to the environmental influences, are resistant to acid and brine, and can be treated with highly aggressive disinfectants and cleaning agents.
