The edges are a vital part of the door leaf, influencing the look, feel and function. Each type of edging has its own strengths and attributes: PU edging is protective, while foils and veneers offer broad choice and versatility.

LIPPING
With doors with laminated-wood lipping, the crossband is visible when viewed from the door leaf edge. The lipping itself is covered by the crossband and face material.

CONCEALED LIPPING
The laminated wood lipping is covered by the face material. The crossband is not visible when viewed from the door leaf edge. The lipping itself covers the frame wood and the crossband.

POLYURETHANE EDGING/PU-PROTECT EDGING
neuform PU-PROTECT edging is especially suited to areas with high foot traffic. Doors fitted with our protective polyurethane edging are very long-lasting, dirt-repellent, solvent-resistant and watertight.
In fact, for the development of this extremely tough door-edging product, neuform received an award and funding from the State of Baden-Württemberg for innovative technologies.

ABS EDGING
ABS plastic edging is highly impact-resistant and protects non-rebated door leaves against knocks and other external influences. Due to its enhanced resistance to impacts, ABS edging is a high-quality alternative to concealed lipping.

PLASTIC LIPPING
For doors made solely from plastic, we at neuform use PVC lipping for effective protection against wet conditions. Due to its enhanced impact resistance, plastic lipping is a high-quality alternative to foil edging. The crossband is visible from the door leaf edge and the lipping is covered by the face material and crossband..
